he is also a formally trained screenwriter, and considers screenwriting to be his bread and butter. he’s proud to say that his writing is his primary strength as a writer/director, and when directing his own work his directing is always in service of the script. he firmly believes that great writing is what will allow him to be the best storyteller possible.
Colin does also work as a writer-for-hire. he writes, re-writes, and polishes short and feature-length projects for other directors and producers.
Intent on crafting emotionally-compelling stories that are told through rich, visually-arresting sequences, Colin's sophisticated yet accessible storytelling is rooted in his broad knowledge of the audio-visual medium and a deep understanding of its emotional power.
